Returning To Work

Returning to Work!

Hello Great Openings Customers,

Greetings from West Michigan. We have now re-opened our manufacturing facility. As directed by the state, we will initially support ‘Essential’ orders.

We have used our downtime to put COVID Precaution Safety Protocols in place. These protocols maximize employee protection in the manufacturing environment while we work diligently to fulfill your orders. Our COVID precautions include:

  • COVID Checkpoint – questions, temp screening
  • Triage Procedures – a safe place, a health check, and return to work procedures
  • Staggered Shifts, distancing, masks/shields, gloves, plexiglass partitions, etc.
  • Closed Common Areas – lunch room, vending, coffee, refrigerators, etc.
  • Facility Sanitation – before and after shift
  • Maintain ‘Work from Home’ Policy – for those whose job function allow it

Regarding your orders…

  • If your orders shifted out, you should have already received new acknowledgments.
  • If changes to your existing order, please call your customer service representative as soon as possible.
  • For new projects, please call to verify current lead-times as we return to full capacity

We appreciate your business. We thank you for your continued support. We look forward to serving you now and in the future. Please join us in staying healthy and staying strong. We are all in this together.

Corona Virus Update

Hello Great Openings Customers,

Greetings from West Michigan. As you may have heard, The State of Michigan has extended its “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order through May 1st, 2020. In support of the Nation, our State and our local community we are complying with these orders. That means our manufacturing facilities will remain closed and anticipate resuming production on May 4th, 2020. We are establishing new manufacturing protocols to ensure the safety of our employees and products shipped. We will communicate these protocols to you over the coming weeks. The lead times on your orders will be affected. Our customer service team has already started the process of adjusting schedules and will communicate to you on affected projects as soon as possible.

Some of you have asked about the government-mandated “essential orders”. We will prioritize these orders and are looking at ways of accommodating these requests. Essential orders need authorization from the end customer in the form of a signed letter on their specific letterhead. We will do our best to accommodate these requests. We appreciate your patience during this time.

  • In-house orders will be receiving a new acknowledgment with a revised ship date.
  • New orders will continue to experience extended lead times when we resume production
  • Your customer service contact will be your point of contact to determine a go-forward plan for your order.
  • We understand some orders may need to be modified. Please call customer service for details.

Although our manufacturing facilities are closed, our quoting and customer service group are open and eager to work with you through existing and new orders. We understand this is a stressful time, full of uncertainty. Our goal is to provide you with the same excellent customer care and quality products you have come to expect from Great Openings. Please join us in staying healthy and staying strong. We are all in this together.

Sincerely,
Shane Pung

Coronavirus Update

Hello Great Openings Customers,

At 12:00 AM today, the State of Michigan is under a “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order that restricts in-person work not necessary to protect or sustain life, until April 13th.  Therefore we are required to close down our manufacturing plants in Ludington and Manistee, MI until April 13th.

We will have a crew working remotely, in order to provide important sales and support communication you have come to expect from Great Openings.  During this time we will be engaging with customers with affected product ship dates to make alternate arrangements.

  • In-house orders will be receiving a new acknowledgement with a revised ship date
  • New orders will experience extended lead times as we resume production
  • Your customer service contact will be your point of contact to determine a go-forward plan for each situation

This is a fluid situation, we will communicate regularly as events unfold. We appreciate your support during this difficult time. We are all in this together as individuals and businesses. Please stay safe and healthy!

Sincerely,

Shane Pung
